Best-before date at the vending machine
2 October 2026Closed-loop payment
2 October 2026A coin changer accepts coins at the vending machine, checks them for authenticity and pays out change in coins.
Function and area of use
Unlike a simple Coin validator , the coin changer manages several coin tubes from which it pays out change. It is connected via the MDB interface and continuously reports to the vending machine how much money has been inserted and how much is to be returned.
Operators must regularly refill the tubes with change so that the vending machine can give change even for larger amounts. At locations with little cash, switching to cashless payment often pays off.
Advantages
- Vending machine can give change
- Reliable detection of counterfeit money
- Integration via a standard interface
