Water vending machine

A Water vending machine dispenses filtered or chilled drinking water, for example in bottles, cups or for self-filling into containers brought along.

Function and area of use

The units are connected to the water supply, filter the water and chill it if required. Some also dispense sparkling or flavoured water. They are common in offices, schools, sports facilities and public buildings.

Because the unit is connected directly to the drinking water network, regular cleaning, filter changes and hygienic maintenance are important. Water vending machines save single-use bottles and are therefore often used as part of a sustainability concept.
