Delivery to Switzerland

Vending machines for businesses in Switzerland

Whether it is a hotel in Valais, a company on the Swiss Plateau or an office building in Zurich: we deliver snack, drinks, coffee and specialty vending machines to businesses throughout Switzerland. In Switzerland we work with TAVAS AG in Zurich as our sales agency.

What applies to customers in Switzerland

Invoice without German VAT
We invoice deliveries to Switzerland without German VAT. On import, the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS) levies import VAT, currently 8.1%. Companies registered for Swiss VAT can usually deduct it as input tax.
No customs duty on vending machines
Since 1 January 2024, Switzerland no longer charges import duties on industrial products. Vending machines are therefore duty-free, but import VAT and the forwarder’s customs clearance fees still apply.
Power supply and plug
The machines run on 230 V and 50 Hz, just like the Swiss grid. We clarify the right mains plug for Swiss sockets (type J) in the quotation.
Cashless by card
With a card terminal, your customers pay by debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We discuss which payment methods make sense at your location before you order.
Partner in Switzerland
TAVAS AG, Hohlstrasse 465, 8048 Zurich, represents VendSpot in Switzerland as our sales agency. We provide technical support directly from Nagold by phone and remote access, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
Prices in euros
Our prices are net prices in euros. The quotation states the machine, shipping and delivery time; import VAT and customs clearance are added on import.

How delivery to Switzerland works

  1. Enquiry

You tell us the location, machine type and product range. A phone call or the configurator is enough.

  2. Quotation

Net prices in euros, shipping and delivery time in a PDF. For customs clearance we need your UID number and the exact delivery address.

  3. Shipping and customs clearance

Production starts after production release. The forwarder delivers with insurance and declares the shipment to the FOCBS; the import VAT is charged to you as the importer.

  4. Commissioning

Instruction via remote access or video, then support just like for our customers in Germany.

Machines for your location

Hotels and mountain railways, companies with shift work, farm shops and petrol stations: the range is the same as in Germany. Here you will find the right starting point.

For purchasing and accounting

  • Net prices in euros, quotation as PDF
  • Invoice without German VAT
  • No customs duty on industrial products since 2024
  • Import VAT currently 8.1%, usually deductible as input tax
  • Shipping €300 net per machine, customs clearance extra
  • Manufacturers named openly: TCN, Magma, Sielaff

The tax and customs information is general information. For your individual case, your accountant and the FOCBS are the right contacts. More on deliveries abroad can be found in our notes on delivery within Europe.

Frequently asked questions

Is customs duty payable?

No. Vending machines count as industrial products, and Switzerland has not charged customs duty on these since 1 January 2024. What remains is import VAT, currently 8.1%, and the forwarder’s fees for customs clearance.

Who takes care of customs clearance?

The forwarder declares the shipment to the FOCBS. For this we need your UID number and the exact delivery address. The import VAT is charged to you as the importer.

Does the plug fit Swiss sockets?

Voltage and frequency match. We clarify the plug for Swiss sockets (type J) in the quotation, so the machine can be connected without an adapter.

Who is my contact in Switzerland?

TAVAS AG in Zurich represents VendSpot in Switzerland as our sales agency. We answer technical questions directly from Nagold by phone, email and remote access.

Do I need a permit for the vending machine?

That depends on the canton, the location and the product range. For public land, food or age-restricted goods, it is best to clarify the requirements in advance with your municipality and the cantonal food inspectorate. We provide the technical data sheets.
