A Goods dispensing system is an automated solution for the controlled dispensing of goods, tools or materials, with authentication and stock management.

Function and area of use

Goods dispensing systems combine smart locker technology with ERP integration and warehouse management. After authentication, the authorised user can take goods. The system books the withdrawal automatically, updates stock levels and triggers orders when minimum stock levels are reached. Returns are also recorded and credited to stock.

Goods dispensing systems are used in production, maintenance, hospitals and laboratories. Typical applications include consumables (screws, seals), tools, spare parts, medicines, laboratory supplies and IT equipment. They eliminate manual warehouse management and create transparency about material consumption.

Integration into SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and other ERP systems takes place via standardised interfaces. Telemetry provides real-time data on consumption, costs and stock levels.

Frequently asked questions

How is the cost centre assigned?

When withdrawing, the employee authenticates and the system automatically assigns their cost centre. Reports show consumption per department/project/person.

What happens with partial withdrawals?

Weight sensors or RFID counting record the quantity removed. The system only books the actual withdrawal, not the entire container.
