DEX interface

DEX is a data standard through which a Vending machine outputs sales and cash data, such as the number of sales per product and amounts collected.

Function and area of use

In the past, DEX data was read out directly at the vending machine with a handheld device. Today, telemetry modules usually transmit the data automatically to a cloud platform. Operators can then see online which products are selling, when restocking is needed and how high the takings are.
