Parcel locker
17 January 2026Tool dispensing system
17 January 2026A Pick-up station is a smart locker system for the temporary storage and collection of pre-ordered goods, especially in e-commerce and hospitality.
Function and area of use
Pick-up stations enable self-service collection without queues. In e-commerce, the customer orders online, chooses the pick-up station as the delivery point, receives a notification when the order is ready and collects it with a code or QR scan. It works similarly in hospitality: online order, preparation, notification, collection from a heated compartment.
Pick-up stations are located at retailers, supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies and in shopping centres. They reduce waiting times, relieve staff and offer customers flexible collection times. They are particularly successful for food with cooling or heating functions and for takeaway catering.
Integration takes place in ordering apps, shop systems and POS systems.
Advantages
- Waiting times reduced to almost zero
- Flexible collection times increase customer footfall
- Optional: cooling/heating for food
