Buying a drinks vending machine

Buying a drinks vending machine means acquiring a specialised vending system for the chilled storage and automated dispensing of bottles and cans. It is one of the most profitable investments in merchandise vending.

Function and area of use

Drinks vending machines are optimised for high capacities and fast throughput. A distinction is made between column vending machines (for cans and PET) and glass-front vending machines with a lift system (for delicate glass bottles). Thanks to powerful cooling systems, drinks are kept at a constant 3–7 °C even at high outside temperatures.

Buying one is recommended for locations with high customer footfall such as gyms, schools, clubs or public places. During commissioning, the columns are set to the desired container sizes, for example 0.33 l cans or 0.5 l bottles.

A modern drinks vending machine is also an important marketing tool. Illuminated product presentation encourages impulse purchases, which leads to huge sales peaks, especially on warm days.

Advantages

• Little cleaning effort compared with coffee vending machines
• Reliable cooling technology guarantees ice-cold refreshment
• Weatherproof outdoor models for maximum location flexibility
• Easy restocking thanks to ergonomic design

Technical details

Drinks vending machines have reinforced insulation and use environmentally friendly refrigerants such as R290. Depending on the model, capacity is between 300 and 600 drink units. The housings are usually burglar-resistant and fitted with safety glass.
